LIL BLESSINGS ON WING 'N PRAYER

Reserve Best in Show and then BEST IN SHOW at the UKC shows in Wapakoneta, Ohio, held on 4/23-25, 2010.

It is now less than a year since the 2009 Premiere, when Owen made his entrance into the show ring. He is now a UKC Grand Champion, in the 2009 Top Ten (#4) with limited showing. Owen also has 9 points, which includes one of his needed majors, toward his AKC Champion title. We are having fun with this boy!

OWEN'S FIRST AKC WIN came on Saturday, July 26th, 2009, when he was placed Winner's Dog from the Open Sable class at the Dan Emmett Kennel Club show in Marion, Ohio, by AKC judge Mrs. Sondra Joy Esporite! At Marion, Owen also was Reserve Winner on Sunday and again on Monday. We are so proud of this young dog and looking forward to future shows with him!

Owen's second win came when he placed Winner's Dog under Judge Judith A. Brown at the St. Clair Kennel Club show held September 13, 2009, in Goodells, MI. Owen's sister Joy placed Reserve Winner's Bitch at the same show. It was a day with beautiful weather for an outdoor show, and placements to make anyone happy to have received.

Now 3 years old, this beautiful brother/sister team have begun to add points toward their AKC titles! This picture of Joy and Owen show their wins at a Lakeland, FL show under Judge Mrs. L. Bianchi on 2/19/2010. Joy (front) placed Best of Winners over Owen, who is standing in the rear. Joy now has 6 points, Owen has 9, which include one of his majors.

OWEN RECEIVED AN INVITATION TO THE TOP TEN COMPETITION AT THE UKC PREMIERE TO BE HELD THIS YEAR ON JULY 8-11, 2010, IN RICHMOND,INDIANA! HE FINISHED 2009 BEING #4 OF THE TOP TEN SHELTIES! IT IS SUCH AN HONOR. WE PLAN TO GO, AND HOPE TO HAVE SOME GOOD WINS.

UKC Top Ten Standings 2009.

Owen took Best of Breed at the 2009 Invitational Competition at Richmond, IN, July 8, 2010 for the Top Ten Standings in 2009. He also went on to take Best of Breed in the three Premiere all breed shows and Best of Breed in the USSA Sheltie Special held that Saturday evening. On that Sunday Owen also took a Group 3 as well. We are very proud of our beautiful boy! Pictures taken at Premiere will follow soon.

Since UKC Premiere last year: Owen has accomplished his UKC GRCH title, passed his TDI test with Therapy Dog International, won the breed in UKC TOP TEN above, and has a total of 10 AKC points toward his AKC Championship, which includes one of his two needed major wins. Not bad for limited showing. He and Don think the show ring is their fun "together" time.
